Organized by the English department, Close Readings is a lecture series which takes place a few times each semester. Close Readings events often reach across the disciplines within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and feature speakers from a range of departments and backgrounds, who present on various texts. As the title suggests, Close Readings are a great way to see the faculty’s analytical minds at work, as the presenters dig deeper into their selected works to show others how they may glean greater understanding through the act of close reading.
A light lunch is typically provided at Close Readings. Please check individual event information for details.
