The Master Series is an annual event sponsored by INK, which takes place during the Spring Semester. This series features big-name writers, who give dynamic lectures on the craft of writing and read their own work. These writers are typically someone considered to be on the cutting-edge of their own craft. Previous writers have included Ben Marcus, who held a discussion-based lecture on the craft of fiction and the workshop environment after reading from his newest work The Flame Alphabet, and Jen Bervin, a poet and visual artist who bridges the gap between the material and literary arts.
Books by the writers are typically available at the event. The event is usually followed by a book signing with light refreshments.
