UNDERGRADUATE THESIS INFORMATION SESSION
Are you interested in replacing your second LIT 499 (plus one English elective) with Honors Thesis?  This is an option for ANY rising senior in English with an in-major GPA of 3.5. Being in the Honors Program is not a requirement. For more information, see the department website, come to Bliss 114 on Tuesday March 1 (12:30-1), or contact Dr. Graham at graham@tcnj.edu. Proposals are due on the last day of classes.

 

Valentine’s Day Coffeehouse: Friday, 2/14 from 8:30-10:30 pm in the Bliss Hall lounge. We’ll be hosting an open mic and serving refreshments!

Piccolo’s Fundraiser: Time and Date TBD. Ink will receive ~15% from each person’s bill, as long as he/she brings a flyer.

Visiting Writers Series feat. Sarah Blake:

Thursday, 3/10 at 5:30 pm in the library auditorium.

Sarah Blake is a TCNJ alum and released her first book of poetry, Mr. West, in March of 2015 to much acclaim. Blake describes her book as “an unauthorized lyric biography of Kanye West.” The Chicago Tribune calls the book “fascinating” and declares Blake “a formal acrobat.” For more information on Blake and her work, please visit her website: sarahblakepoetry.com.

Slam Down the Walls: Friday, 4/1 at 8:30 pm in the Bliss Hall lounge. SDTW is ink‘s slam poetry contest, and one of our most popular events.

Visiting Writers Series feat. Meena Alexander:
Monday, 4/11 at 5 pm in the library auditorium.

Meena Alexander is an award-winning poet and scholar and released her most recent book of poetry, Atmospheric Embroidery in 2015. She has received awards from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation and the Fulbright foundation, and has been featured in The New Yorker and Harvard Review. The Goods feat. Anthony Buccino: Saturday, 4/23 from 3 to 8 pm in the library auditorium. This event is an all-day arts festival that hosts poets, singers, and other talented individuals. Anthony Buccino is performing from around 7 until 8 pm.
