Kathleen Webber teaches Magazine Writing, Advanced Magazine Writing, Writing for Interactive Multimedia and Press History. She received her M.A. in Journalism from New York University and spent 10 years as a magazine writer in New York writing about the fashion industry for W magazine and Women’s Wear Daily. In Philadelphia she helped launch Philadelphia Style magazine in 1999 and still contributes to it regularly. Her bylines have appeared in publications such as Women’s Health, Martha Stewart Living, InStyle, Self, New Jersey Life, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. Her research focuses on sustainable and ethical fashion practices in the garment industry and the effort to bring a segment of garment manufacturing back to the U.S.
She serves as an adviser here for HerCampus online magazine and She’s the First organization.
