The Reign of the Tudors was a century of bloodshed and religious upheaval, but it was also a flourishing period for literature. Readings include works by canonical male writers Thomas More, Marlowe, Shakespeare, and Sidney as well as women writers who challenged the canon—Isabella Whitney, Amelia Lanyer, and Mary Wroth.
