CWR 305: Screenwriting Workshop. The course assumes that you are essentially a beginner in the craft of planning and writing a screenplay. Through exercises, group discussions, workshops and conferences, this course enables you, the beginning screenwriter, to plan and write short film scripts, whether for animated or live action film, and to develop a concept and initial outline for a feature film. The planning and writing proceeds in a step-by-step workshop process, helping you to tap into and enrich your visual memory, and to adapt your life experiences to the structural needs of short film, and to begin your initial planning of a feature film screenplay. Through writing and revisions prompted by exercises, workshops, group discussions and conferences, you are encouraged to discover your individual voice and subject.
